Caroline James is a painter and drawer at Paper City Studios in Holyoke, MA. She is also a Frances Perkins scholar at MHC to study studio art and politics. She plans to earn her MFA in order to teach college-level art courses.

Caroline spends a great deal of time outdoors, writing lists and journal entries, and moving her body to promote expression and self-love. She is especially interested in the healing qualities of the arts, and she looks forward to a life of making images that draw from the beauty and discomfort of the natural world.
